PRODYNA expands its commitment to rowing

PRODYNA expands its commitment to rowing
April 24, 2015

The "Corporate Challenge" is intended to further stimulate corporate rowing - the IT company PRODYNA has already been the title sponsor of the Rowing Bundesliga (RBL) since 2013.

In its third season, the innovative consulting and technology service provider headquartered in Frankfurt am Main is expanding its commitment to rowing and will become the main sponsor of the Corporate Cup, which is integrated into the RBL. In addition to the eight races of the 40 strongest club teams in Germany, there will be a "PRODYNA Corporate Challenge" on the five race days in Frankfurt (16.05.), Hanover (13.06.), Münster (18.07.), Leipzig (15.08.) and Hamburg (12.09.). Corporate teams, which often emerge from company sports communities from rowing clubs, will compete over the short distance in GIG double sixes with coxswain, which will be provided by the organizer.

The most successful teams qualify for the grand final, which will be held as part of the "ROWING Champions League" on September 20 in Berlin. After PRODYNA has sought contact to the rowers and the rowing scene in general in the RBL in the past two years, they now want to close the circle by also getting in touch with companies involved in rowing. For the head of the marketing department, Dr. David Wainwright, the "Corporate Challenge" is a good platform to approach potential customers with a "sporty touch" and to use the rowing network for further contacts. The cooperation is initially designed for one year and is to be expanded if it is successful.

Sponsor and organizer have set ambitious goals for the first year. Up to twelve boats are to compete against each other on the sprint distance each race day. PRODAYNA is also setting an example here: Already on the first race day in Frankfurt, two to three of its own company teams will be at the start. A GIG double-six in company colors will be delivered to the sponsor in the middle of the season as a further advertising medium and will enter the competition. The trend of company rowing and company sports teams is to be supported, strengthened and expanded with the "PRODYNA Corporate Challenge".
