Together we assisted in creating a real-time information system for displaying the availability of intensive care beds
April 7, 2020

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) and the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (DIVI e. V.) have joined forces with SAS and PRODYNA to build an information and forecasting platform that provides an overview of the inventory and demand for vacant intensive care beds with ventilators. SAS, one of the world's leading providers of analytics solutions, realized this platform within a few days as a partner of the RKI.

PRODYNA, one of Europe's leading software houses for individual development in the cloud, supported SAS in the implementation of the project.

With the use of the SAS software, the new information system creates real-time transparency regarding the occupancy of existing intensive care beds and allows forecasts of the required capacities. Authorities and hospitals can even adjust their resource allocation in advance to the expected demand. In addition, interactive reports on the situation picture are available for better planning of emergency forces and resources. Here you will find the press release.
